Answers to Your Questions.
What if I’m not ready to change my diet or give up coffee?
Eating pattern changes are not always part of the treatment plan, and if there are nutrition related recommendations they will be specific to your complaints and condition. If you’d rather not change your food consumption, if you’re really attached to your coffee, that’s ok too. I’m here to meet you where you’re at.
I’m currently taking a prescription medication and/or an antidepressant. Is it okay to see a naturopathic doctor?
Yes, naturopathic doctors are trained in pharmacology and drug-nutrient-herb interactions. Whether you choose to stay on your medication or would like to work on discontinuing them is entirely up to you, naturopathic medicine has a lot to offer when it comes to managing medication side effects and/or addressing root causes.
Can I see a naturopath and my family doctor at the same time?
Absolutely, we encourage an integrative and collaborative approach to healthcare.
Do I need a referral to see a Naturopathic Doctor (ND)?
No, you do not require a referral to see a Naturopathic Doctor.
Is Naturopathic Medicine covered by my health insurance?
While OHIP doesn’t cover Naturopathic Medicine, most extended health insurance plans cover the total or a portion of the visit fee. Some health plans will also cover select laboratory services, please call your insurance provider for the details of your plan.
Do you offer direct billing?
Yes, we offer direct billing for a variety of insurance companies. Please give us a call to find out which insurance companies apply and how to sign up. And there is always the option of submitting the claim yourself if you pay up front.

Is your clinic accessible?

Additional experience and fulfillment was found practicing Naturopathic Medicine as an intern at an HIV clinic in the LGBTQ community in Toronto.
